Complete Streets Policy – Summit, IL, 2017
The Village of Summit sits at the edge of the City of Chicago, just past Midway Airport. The Village’s Complete Streets policy complements other recent initiatives – as a home-rule municipality, the Village recently instated a gas-tax for capital improvements and developed an Active Transportation Plan. Residents of all ages have been involved in advocating for walking, bicycling, and transportation options in the community.
